Torsk – Cod Braised in Butter

This braised fish taste so much like lobster! These are great with boiled new potatoes.

Cooking Time: 60 minutes

Servings: 4

Ingredients:

6 cod fillets

4 cups water

¼ cup honey

Salt to taste

½ tsp. Old Bay seasoning

1 ½ cups melted butter

3 tbsp. lemon juice

Directions:

1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees

2. Coat a baking sheet with non-stick spray.

3. Combine the water, sugar and salt in a pan and add the fish.

4. Bring the liquid to a boil and cook for 10 minutes.

5. Use a tong to transfer the cod to a plate and use paper towels to dry the fish.

6. Season with the Old Bay seasoning and more salt, if desired.

7. Place the cod on the baking sheet and top with the melted butter.

8. Bake for 20 minutes, until the fish is flaky.

9. Serve with lemon slices.
